# Episode 126: Eyelash Extensions and the Quiet Panic Women Aren’t Talking About

There was a time when eyelash extensions felt like magic.

They were glamorous.  
They were effortless.  
They made me feel camera-ready at 7 a.m.

Until one day… they didn’t.

They started to feel like something I *owed* the world. Like a performance. Like a fragile costume I had to keep maintaining so I wouldn’t disappoint anyone — including myself.

And that’s when I realized I wasn’t just wearing lashes.  
I was hiding behind them.

In Part A of Episode 126 of **Party’s Over**, I talk honestly about my relationship with eyelash extensions — the beauty, the confidence, the loss of natural lashes, the irritation, the discomfort, and most of all… the emotional pressure.

Because yes, they can cause thinning.  
They can cause infection.  
They can create inflammation.  
They can trigger autoimmune panic in sensitive systems.

But the real story is the **dependency**.

The quiet fear of being seen without them.  
The internal pressure to stay “glam.”  
The voice in your head whispering,  
*“Who am I when I’m not enhanced?”*

And let me tell you — taking them off was emotional.

But it was also liberating.

Because there is something incredibly powerful about looking in the mirror and saying:  
“This is my face.  
This is my life.  
This is me.  
And she is enough.”

This isn’t about demonizing beauty. I love beauty. I’ve built a life around honest, thoughtful conversations about beauty. But I also believe in **agency, health, body trust, and emotional freedom**.
