Every week in Spill It, women tell the truth out loud — the questions they whisper to friends… or sometimes don’t say at all.
In Part C of Episode 121, a listener asked something fascinating:
Her husband is aging. He doesn’t seem to care about his appearance the way he used to. And she wonders… should she suggest cosmetic procedures?
Let’s get this out of the way first:
Yes. Men absolutely get procedures. Fillers. Botox. Hair restoration. Skin tightening. Lifts. You name it — men do it.
But that’s not the real conversation.
The real conversation is:
• What is she really longing for?
• Is this about vanity — or connection?
• Is this about attraction — or fear of change?
• Is this about aesthetics — or emotional distance?
Sometimes when we ask about appearance… we’re actually talking about love, presence, confidence, energy, intimacy, and feeling chosen.
Aging isn’t just physical.
It’s emotional.
It touches identity. Ego. Desire. Self-worth. Partnership.
So yes — if a man wants to do something, support him… gently.
But forcing him? Pushing him? “Fixing” him?
That almost always leads somewhere complicated.
Because what relationships truly need isn’t perfection.
They need honesty.
They need conversation.
They need love that says:
“I still want you.”
“I still see you.”
“And I want us to stay connected as we both change.”
That… is the real procedure.
