Episode 102: What I’ve Really Done… And What I’d Do Again

I’ve had a lot of procedures. That’s not a secret. What matters is knowing why you’re doing them, who’s doing them, and when to stop. My best decision was a lower-face mini-lift with a temporal lift at 47. It looked natural, healed well, and made future maintenance simple with conservative touch-ups instead of chasing big fixes.

My worst decision? Liposuction on my stomach and knees. I was hoping for a shortcut and ended up with skin laxity I didn’t have before. Lesson learned: some “quick fixes” create long-term problems. As for fat transfer, it can be unpredictable because your body may metabolize it unevenly. I prefer methods that are adjustable and reversible.

Bottom line: specialize your surgeon, personalize your plan, and aim for “refreshed you,” not a filter.

Key takeaways

  • Best results come from the right time and the right surgeon who specializes.
  • “More” often looks less natural. Pick procedures you can adjust over time.
  • Lifestyle still wins: protein, calories you can live with, and strength training.
