We talk a lot about how women look. But we don’t talk nearly enough about how women feel.
In Part B of this episode, I sat down with licensed counselor Lane Happel, and together we explored something that hits so close to home for so many of us: the difference between self-image and self-worth.
Self-image is what you see in the mirror.
Self-worth is how you value yourself when no one else is watching.
And somewhere along the way, the world convinced women that the first one matters more.
Social media has made this even harder. We see picture-perfect lives. Filtered bodies. Flawless faces. Carefully curated happiness. And even when we know it isn’t real… it still gets inside our heads. It makes us question. Compare. Critique. Shrink.
Lane talked beautifully about how this pressure disconnects us from our internal voice. Instead of asking,
“How do I feel?”
we ask,
“How do I look?”
“Will people approve?”
“Am I enough?”
But here’s the truth we both believe deeply:
You are allowed to love your face.
You are allowed to love your body.
You are allowed to care about your appearance.
But none of those things determine your worth.
Your worth lives in your kindness, your humor, your resilience, your wisdom, your courage, your love. Your worth lives in your story. Your heart. Your presence.
If you’re struggling… you are not alone.
If you’ve ever felt “less than”… you are seen.
And if you’re ready to start valuing yourself from the inside out… this conversation will support you, challenge you, and hopefully remind you how extraordinary you truly are.
Because when we finally say,
“Party’s Over”
to perfection, pressure, and comparison…
we make space for peace, truth, self-respect, and joy.
And that is real beauty.
